GRACE MISSIONS

SERVE

One of the foundational values of Grace Church is that we are COMPELLED TO SERVE. The primary means by which we do that is through our Life Groups who serve the needs of their neighbors and the church as a group. Our church also wants to empower everyone to serve God using their gifts and talents. Click here to let us know areas you'd be interested to serve in.

MISSION PARTNERS

Part of our Church mission statement is "Restoring lives." We partner with individuals and organizations all over the world to extend the restoring work of Grace Church. Toward that end, we want you to meet our incredible Mission Partners. Each of these were uniquely chosen because of these guiding principles:

PARTNERSHIP - We serve with those who can share ministry with us, where we can mutually resource one another and regularly support one another.

ALIGNMENT - We are a unique tribe of faith and for that we are grateful. We partner with folks who are in agreement with our unique church values and vision.

RESTORATION - God will one day restore all things and God invites us to take part in that work now. We serve with those who are doing the long haul work to restore systems, families, people and communities.

COLLEGE CONNECTIONS - We have a passion to see the next generation be connected to the gospel.

DISCIPLESHIP - We seek to partner with those who move people beyond evangelism to deeper places in faith.

Mission Partners

The Turners - YWAM East Africa

About

We are the Turners! Jake is from Sylvania, and Katie is from Perrysburg. We are on staff with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), a movement of people of all cultures and denominations, with the pursuit of knowing God and making Him known throughout the earth. We are currently based in Kona, Hawaii, where we assist in training and mobilization. In March of 2022, we felt God call us to partner with Him, long term, in East Africa. We are preparing to move with a team from YWAM Kona, and we long to see a discipleship movement happen among an unreached, Muslim people group. We want to reach the lost, revive the saved, and train them all. But above everything, we want to see Jesus glorified and worshipped in a place He is not yet fully known! He is worthy of every tribe, tongue, and nation!

Grace Impact

Grace is such a blessing to us! Katie grew up in this church, and many people from this congregation have taught and sparked so much of her faith. To now partner together for the Great Commission is such a gift. This partnership will allow us to fully move and invest ourselves in the people and land. All funding will contribute to our means of living, ministry expenses, and work within the people.

Acts2Toledo - Keep Watch Prayer

About

Acts 2 Toledo is committed to reaching the next generation with the life changing message of Jesus Christ. Keep Watch now has weekly prayer walks in 130+ schools throughout 4 states that are staffed by over 300 volunteers. These weekly prayer walks of 20-30 minutes inside of schools before or after the school day are transforming communities as we see academic improvement, behavior improvement, increased school staff unity, and increased connections to churches and ministries working in those schools. Rocket Rise reaches out to athletes at the University of Toledo. As we finish up our 20th year working with these students, we have had a record number of these future leaders engage with the ministry of Rocket Rise. There is truly a hunger for God and desire to grow in their faith. Urban Rise is powered by UT athletes, through partnerships with urban churches, as they connect with students in urban schools to encourage them in their faith and lives.

Grace Impact

We are so thankful that Grace Church has partnered with us in helping to transform this next generation of students and future leaders. Your prayers and financial investment fuel the flames of God's Spirit at work. Thank you!!

The Badenhops - CRU at OSU

About

We are Aaron and Elisabeth Badenhop, and our daughters are Brooke and Molly. We work with Cru at OSU, helping students and faculty to find God through faith in Christ and to grow in relationship with Him. Aaron is program director of a ministry program called The Thompson Institute, a network of Christian faculty that are seeking to invest their lives into others on our secular university campus. We serve in this ministry because God used Cru to change our own lives in college, and because there is not a more strategic place in our society for Christians to have a fruitful witness for Christ, than a university like Ohio State.

Grace Impact

Aaron grew up just a few blocks from Grace, and the church's partnership with our ministry has been an incredible blessing for many years. Grace's financial support has provided a portion of our salary with Cru, so that our ministry on campus with students and faculty can receive our focused attention. It is so encouraging to know that we don’t have to do this alone, but that there are mission partners like Grace who care about and pray for our ministry.

The McKells - Greater Europe Mission

About

The Hammitts - International Tribal Ministries

About

We are Aaron and Tara Hammitt, and we live in Cochabamba, Bolivia with our three children: Ian, Ella, and Aliza. Aaron is a pilot with International Tribal Ministries, a mission whose focus is planting churches and discipling believers in isolated and unreached communities of Bolivia. Through the aviation program, we support and multiply the effectiveness of ITM's Bolivian and North American missionaries who are planting churches, operating our radio station, and running a Bible Institute in the town of San Lorenzo. We also provide emergency medical transport, deliver supplies, and take short-term volunteers into the communities where ITM serves.

Grace Impact

The financial support we receive from Grace Church helps to cover the costs of ministry and our family's living expenses. Your partnership through prayer and encouragement is also a vital part of sustaining our family amidst the challenges of living and ministering in Bolivia.

The Nielsens - Missions International of America

We, Jay & Jan Nielsen, are the founders of Missions International of America (MIA).  MIA’s purpose is to show Christ’s love to the people in Savanette, Haiti by providing education, medical assistance, and agricultural education with the goal of creating employment and sustainability.

Grace Impact

When we felt God’s calling to build a school in Haiti, members at Grace Church shared our vision and graciously and generously have supported MIA’s work since 2004. The school is named after Brad Reddick, who was a cherished member of our congregation. Jan was serving on Christian education committee with Brad at the time we began discussions about the school. After his death, we knew the school needed to be named after his legacy of faith and devotion.
